|3/9/2013||Kenwood transmitter installed. Initial testing indicates it works
|2/4/2013||Backup TKR-720 repeater purchased. Still needs to be programmed and
aligned before install. This repeater will be configured to take over
automatically should the main transmitter fail.
|1/23/2013||Repeater (crossband) system ready for install at the south county
receiver site. Time and weather are only restraints to getting this
installed and tested.
|1/18/2013||One duplexer on the receiver side of the main site, was found to be out
of alignment. It was re-tuned and re-installed. Testing indicates
improved reception of signals.
|11/12/2013||New repeater installed. Old repeater will be stored for use as a backup
|8/15/2012||Echolink settings configured for use and made operational on the
repeater. Three antennas need to come down and two put up at Union
College site. This should help with the reception to the south side of
Lincoln. The south county receiver link system is being worked on as

donated anonymously to the club (HUGE THANKS to the donor) Computer
installed in cabinet, shelves moved cabling cleaned up some. Audio cable
linking the two cabinets was found to have bad connections. Plugs were
replaced with hard wire replacements.

components inside the cabinet.

|9/20/2010||Lightning is believed to have taken out the southern remote receiver.|
|4/13/2010||Installed for testing, another remote receiver. Once equipment and site are
tested, this is planned for better southern Lancaster, northern Gage and
Saline County coverage. Southern Lancaster County is expected to be
handheld coverage into repeater. Beatrice might be handheld coverage
into 146.850 repeater as well. Link power is expected to be less than
|Northern receiver is still not hearing quite as well as hoped and that
project will be added to the list of things to do.
|3/6/2010||Corrected the timing issue preventing the patch from dialing. Finally
have all the bugs out of the Echolink interface. Tested with the
Echolink server with marginal results. It looks like we need a computer
with a little more horsepower. Donations for a faster computer would be
|2/20/2010||Cause of 60 cycle hum and hissing noise identified (ground loop) and
repaired. Audio re-tested and aligned with negligible difference to
tone and audio quality when switching between inputs through the voter.
Delay board still has to be installed to eliminate extra squelch noise
from remote receiver.

anticipation of Echolink installation and to provide auto patch

signal was coming from. Echolink computer was put in radio cabinet.
|5/1/2009||After waiting 6 weeks for a crystal for oscillator stabilization, we
found it to not be the problem. More parts ordered. At least we now
have a spare.
|3/25/2009||WU0F made some audio modifications and built delay timers. These and
the equalizer are slated to be added sometime this week, time

quality differences between voting system receivers.
